Anthony Orttel: Online Science Tutor

Hi! I'm Anthony, the teacher behind Mile High Science! I'm a passionate science educator with 9 years of classroom teaching experience, working with students in grades 5–12. Throughout my career, I've taught a variety of science courses, including middle school science, high school biology, honors biology, and AP Environmental Science.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bemidji State University in Minnesota and my Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in Biology, from Minnesota State University Moorhead. My education has given me a strong foundation in both scientific content and effective teaching practices.

Over the years, I've worked with students of all abilities and learning styles. One thing I've learned is that science doesn't have to be intimidating! Sometimes, students just need concepts explained in a different way, a little extra practice, or someone who can help them connect what they're learning to the real world.

My tutoring approach is patient, supportive, and personalized. Whether your student needs help understanding biology, preparing for an upcoming science exam, improving their grades, or tackling challenging AP Environmental Science concepts, my goal is to build their confidence while strengthening their understanding.

As an experienced classroom teacher, I understand the expectations students face at school and know how to break down complicated scientific concepts into manageable, easy-to-understand lessons.
